What Is Poisoning?

Poisoning can occur through swallowing, inhalation, injection, or skin contact.

First Aid Actions

Identify the substance if safe to do so
Do not induce vomiting
Remove the casualty from the source
Rinse skin or eyes if contaminated

Call 999 or NHS 111 for advice if poisoning is suspected.
