Risk Assessments

You are required by law to carry out risk assessments in the workplace.

A first aid risk assessment must:

  • Identify workplace hazards
  • Consider the number of employees and visitors
  • Consider the type of work being carried out
  • Identify likely injuries or illnesses
  • Be reviewed at least once every 12 months, or sooner if conditions change

The level of first aid and fire marshal cover required depends on the type of workplace and level of risk.
