What Is Fainting?

Fainting is a temporary loss of consciousness due to reduced blood flow to the brain.

Signs and Symptoms

  • Dizziness
  • Pale skin
  • Sweating
  • Loss of consciousness

First Aid Actions

  • Lay the casualty down
  • Raise their legs if possible
  • Reassure them as they recover
